My favorite guitarrist of the Music.
In 1967 I bought his album "A day in the life". To me he is the best. Dig his first live recording at Tsuba. in Berkley 1962. Most of Miles Davis's set came to Tsuba and it was an admin impromptu jam.
Think this is good? Check out this new up and coming American composer and his opening act in the form of a classically trained guitar trio. True masters. Thank you 🙏 like and subscribe please!

The guitar may be an instrument created for the dyslexic. The guitar's "B" string inherently has 5#s/bs; and naturally its relative major is at the "D" string, with 2#s/bs. The napkin shows in writing that all "written" music can thus (theoretically) be transcribed and transposed into a single picture/pattern super imposed on the guitar's fretboard.
His way to play guitar is so warm and smooth as a velvet blanket.
Don't like Jazz, but I like Wes
One of my fave jazz performances ever.
1965? Wow I guess he is a bit older than I remeber in pics but thought he passed by 65 already. Truly one of the best R.I.P. Mr. Montgomery.
Insane performance. 6:03 hits soo hard
Playing a Gibson Johnny Smith.
Just…Wow…
Ima give you three guesses to what time I'm listening to this
Wow I've heard of this guy but this my first listen. It's as smooth as silk, very sophisticated and warm sounding. Can imagine this guy inspired many, George Benson being one.
The pianist is soooooo out of sync. Not really the 'flavour' I'm looking for. . .
Man, I love these black and white jazz films.
So thats big!,
A wonderfully great guitarist and a great jazz standard! I saw Monk perform this ( his composition) at the Vanguard in NYC many years back! So memorable!
It does not have to be this way. Someone is going to come along from classical and jazz and rule.
One of Eric Johnson’s favorite guitarist
I could not remember his name and searched for "top black jazz guitarist" and nothing ! HOW!! thank god i remembered the name of the theme.
