I met all of van halen where i live.
All of them took time out to sign everything i gave them. Sammy even told me that’s it? Nothing else? And michael was with a bunch of friends and family and one of them(a woman) said no when i approached them and when i told her i wanted to meet mike amd that i waited decades for that, he(they were all just standing there) inmediately came to me and signed everything and talked a while.
Incredible experience and very cool and humble guys. Later that night i again met mike and he recognized me(this was in the elevator area) and he greeted me and saw my lps and figured and asked are you’re waiting for eddie? I said yes. He smiled and replied don’t bother, he’s NOT coming down. Evh was in that crazy phase…this was in puerto rico.

The world will never be the same without Eddie. And VH was never the same without Mike and Sammy. That was the group that gave us SO much. Thanks guys, for all the memories. Still cant believe it.
Sammy and Mike you are outstanding musicians and gentlemen.You made great music with EVH. Can't even imagine what Wolfie is feeling..Here is to EVH and the great legacy of music recorded and unrecorded he left..I say thank-you Eddie.

You know when you go through life the people just around you the music ups and downs driving the back roads drinking George dickel trying to get rid of the stress that builds from day to day Eddie Van Halen you kept me going give me inspiration enjoyed all your music whether it was with David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar those groups had chemistry and I want to thank you for the bottom of my heart I miss you brother peace out
It appears historically, IMO..that if there is a loud mouth or maybe just a nice guy who is not, because of substance abuse, in any band, group or even a marriage, you will usually also find someone who is taciturn, patient and very kind, there has to be, or they would not last very long. Narcissism and huge egos have to be either accepted or ignored, but understood, as part of that unique individual`s personality. It`s double tough sometimes, that`s where love and commitment come in, and some discover, that sometimes forever, is`nt as long as they thought. Eddie and I never met, but we have been rockin together since I was 20 yrs old, now I`m 63. I imagine I will get through this, but I will never get over it. Thanks for your dedication Edward, and for sharing your talent with us. Rest in Peace my friend.

Mike and Sammy lack the typical rock star ego trip, and all the respect to them for their respect to Eddie. These musicians with this kind of talent are not in today's gene pool and I'm glad to have born in the early sixties and experienced the fantastic music that was to come from the likes of Eddie, Randy, Dime and so many others still with us.✝️ RIP Eddie 🎸and other the other greats he joined in heaven
