You show the video quality (from what looks like it is mounted on a wall). I wonder how much can be recorded if mounted from the ceiling, since this is where most smoke detectors are mounted (otherwise, someone would be suspicious of a wall-mounted unit).

you should have tested it by attaching it to the ceiling, where all smoke detectors are located…your test only showed the bottom part of your body…if a burglar is sneaking around you want to video HIS FACE so the cops can identify him…also if you set it on motion detection…does the video mode shut itself off after the motion stops?
how long does the charge last??? the motion detection setting is cool? for when there trouble only ? but how often do you have to charge it ?
Too complicated…no wonder it's so cheap, we the consumer are the slaves.

How can landlords use this kind of smoke detector to spy on our privacy inside of our apartments? Lately they placed one in my apartment and it has 2 lens on it and one striped opening (for the sound). One of the lens keeps flashing every 30 seconds. When I asked the landlord why it's flashing, she said it's a sign that the battery is not down yet. I guess they have a spy camera in there?
