good review but why do you need it to send them all so fast. are you going to run out and shoot them right then or is it for letting you know there is deer activity. Its not a burglar

Did you make sure the app had full notification permissions on your phone? What network is your phone & the camera? Also did you say it won't take another picture until one is sent?

I personally do not like low glow Leds. I did a test a few years ago where I set two cameras up, one camera was on video with no glow LEDs watching the second camera with low glow Leds. When the low glow LED camera was triggered buy a buck you could clearly see that it noticed the low glow LED camera. The buck stopped then slowly backed up and left.

Very good review! I'm thinking about getting one of these. In my area cell service won't be a problem, but theft could be. I would have to try to conceal it or something!

Are you using AT&T or Verizon? I have a Verizon one out right now and wanted another but I could only find AT&T in stock at scheels so I ordered it. Hopefully the cell service works as well as the Verizon does. Thanks for the great review

I bought one Tactacam Reveal Cell Camera and it worked out of the box so that was a huge improvement, and $13 a month for the unlimited pictures, awesome. Huge benefit in my opinion that you can plug in an external 12 volt battery, then I put a solar panel on the 12 volt. I rebooted my phone after down loading the APP and I get audio notifications when picture comes in, I received 160 pictures of wild pigs the first night. For the $100 cost of this camera I believe its above average for a cellular camera. The biggest issue for me is trying to find more of them, everyone that list them has sold out…..Time will tell if it will be robust.

Have you any feedback on battery life yet? My camera would be 3 hours away and I really don’t want to be swapping out lithium batteries every week or two. I could buy a solar panel for it I guess but still want to know about battery life. Thanks

Absolute #1 issue to me is no audio (ringtone, etc) notification when motion detected and pics received. At 3:00 AM I need audio to wake me when pigs walk into my trap. I also don't like that it can take up to 24 hours for a change made to the camera settings through the app to take effect. I greatly appreciate the fact that it allows you to do this (like changing delay between pics from 5 minutes to 1 minute) remotely but really? 24 hours? On the good side it takes less than a minute for notification on your cell phone that a motion event has occurred. However you MUST have good cell reception (2 or more bars) on your phone for this quick notification. If your cell signal on the Tactacam is really weak, say 1 bar, you can replace the paddle antenna with a Wilson Electronics 311125 antenna. Boosted my Reveal reception from 1 bar to 3 bars. Note that you MUST also use an SMA Male Plug to RP-SMA Female Adapter between the camera and antenna. Both are on Amazon for cheap. Once all are attached together protect them from rain with heat shrink tubing or tape as it WILL leak. Also, unlimited pics for $12 a month is a bargain compared to other cell based trail cams.

I’m new to trail cameras. I’m wondering if you can tell me if it matters which data carrier (Verizon or AT&T) I select when purchasing my camera? I’m told that the new property’s area in Ohio I’m hunting this year the home owners cell carrier is AT&T. However, I live in Maryland and will use the camera in Ohio from Sept – 3rd week of Nov. Then use it here in Maryland where Verizon mostly have the better connection over my cell phone’s T-Mobile and AT&T.

Thanks for the review. Spypoint app takes about 1min from the time the pic is taken and time it sends you the pic. And it sends you a notification. And you can pic when you get notified. And also you get 250 images for free each month. I use mine for security on the off season.
