I have already got two Navman Mivue800, both devices turned off themselves once they disconnect from the power source. How are you suppose to film it with you when leave the car?

Silly device, you are in control of the car therefore concentrate on your driving rather than being distracted by a device telling you what to do as demonstrated here ?

Thank you for sharing, I have just traded a Subaru with Eyesight into a car without this tech, after seeing this test I have gone out and purchased the 690 just a have that extra safety in the new car.
