Leon uses all 88 keys in this version…. I am old now… and I have come to my final announcement that Leon Russell Is/was the Finest piano player Ever in my 65 years…. still a few around Elton..Rick Wakeman..little Stevie Wonder….,Chris Martin…All because of passion… many many more can do the mechanics but these guys make the piano tell you what's inside their heads.. many greats are gone and it's a long list…. but Leon Russell to me is the all time best…. from paid house player in a studio to raucous taverns doing anything and everything honky tonk to singular superstar on a grand stage. Every note was deliberate passion from within and he played every song TO you

The very last concert I went to at the Louisville Waterfront.
The Ol' Boy could hardly walk due to back problem. He sat at the piano and sang his heart out.
    One the Greatest! !

Was this song about Rita Coolidge? I guess I love living in a better time. My favorite time, when I was young and everything seemed good.

High schooler in 72 when I saw him in San Francisco, Came out of there thinking unique, talented, fun and an amazing concert. Should've heard the crowd. Wow… Still sends chills down my spine.
RIP dude. You brought a lot of smiles to a lot of people.
